THE Harvey Centre will open its doors at 11pm today until the early hours as hundreds of gamers flock to Harlow town centre to get their hands on the new Nintendo 3DS.
The new hand-held console features the first glasses-free 3D, three internal motion cameras and 3d photo taking capabilities.
James Chapman, assistant manager of HMV, said: “It is amazing and so different – you can’t describe it until you see it.”
The three main suppliers: Game, HMV and Gamestation have up to 500 consoles up for grabs at midnight tonight, but expect the turn out to be much higher.
Fears of supply of the console from Japan meeting demand have been high since the tsunami hit the country a fortnight ago.
Jonathan Simmons, 17, said: “I can’t wait – I ordered mine weeks ago. I could pick it up tomorrow but I’m going to bring a few friends down to get it, I want to be one of the first to have it.”
