CELEBRITIES off-camera are often completely different to their public persona and can present quite a few surprises according to television producer and director, Mark Parker.
Mike gave an insight into life behind the scenes working on some off the most popular celebrity shows, when he spoke to journalism students at Harlow School of Journalism this month (January 29)
His talent for producing hit after hit programs over the years has introduced him to the likes of Olympic Gold Medallist Bradley Wiggins and TV celebs Andrew Flintoff and Joey Essex. While discussing his stand out moments Mike told the students “It’s very easy to be in the best places in the world because of work, I would pay money to come on holiday and I can come here free for work.”
Known for his skill of capturing TV gold, producer and director Mike Parker visited the college to discuss his career. Originally starting as a runner on the Russel Brand Show, Mike has worked with several TV channels to produce a number of popular reality TV shows.
During his talk with Emmy Award Winner, Naomi Channell, a tutor at the School of Journalism, he said: “Journalism is very important, you are interviewing celebrities and trying to get good content out of them. Getting under celebrities’ skin and having that Journalistic skill are the key to success.”
