Harlow residents: Are you eligible to vote?

Ballot box

THOSE who want to vote in any election or referendums are asked whether they are registered to vote.

In order to be identified as an eligible voter, every household is sent a form of those who are believed to currently live at the address.

People are encouraged to respond to these forms as soon as they are able to, in order to reduce costs and so that no-one who wants to vote is removed from the register.

Those not on the electoral register may also find it hard to obtain credit, such as a mortgage or a loan.

It is considered a legal requirement to respond every year, even if your details are unchanged. The final electoral register will be published December 1 2019.
