ST CLARE HOSPICE will be launching the much loved ‘Cutest Canine Competition’ in January.

Dog owners around the Harlow area are encouraged to send in their best photos of their beloved pets for the chance of winning a dog hamper. They will also get to ‘lead the pack’ at next year’s annual 5km ‘Winter Walkies’ dog walk taking place on February 23.

This walk is open to all, dog owner or not, and will span across the Essex countryside. The 2019 walk saw 250 walkers and their dogs take part and the charity are hoping to see even more people registering for 2020.

Pictures of all canine entrants to the competition will be published on the St Clare Hospice Facebook and Instagram pages where people are then free to like the pictures of who they consider the cutest pup in Harlow. The dog with the most likes will then claim the title and will be ‘leading the pack’ in February.

Emma Broadbent, St Clare Hospice’s events fundraiser who is organising the event commented “It is such a great event you’d be barking mad to miss it.”

To enter the competition pet owners just need to email a photo and a brief description including their name, breed and age to fund@stclarehospice.org.uk

Entries for the ‘Cutest Canine Competition’ are due by January 17 and the voting will run from the January 20 to January 24. All entrants must have registered for ‘Winter Walkies’ 2020 and winners of previous competitions cannot enter the same pet again.
