Harlow journalism students on the stairway to success

THE LATEST recruits to the journalism pathway of  The University of the Arts London (UAL) Creative Media Diploma are determined to make names for themselves in the industry.

They have begun by writing short articles about themselves and have already revealed the variety of careers they are planning to pursue – from sports broadcaster to political journalist and from Formula One racing commentator to travel writer.

They will be reporting on events and writing features for Harlow Spotlight and Harlow Harrier – the online news outlets for the college. They will be joined on Spotlight by creative writing students who will be publishing short stories and plays on this site.

During the course they will have talks from leading professionals in the field, beginning with award winning journalist and television presenter John  Stapleton, patron of the Harlow College School of Journalism.

Our photo shows some of the first year journalism students who have published their stories here.
