WITH Harlow being put into tier 3, the Playhouse has been forced to shut and cancel its Christmas pantomime.
The creative director, Rory Davies, has sent out letters to Playhouse customers, informing them of the Playhouse having to shut.
“It is with a heavy heart that we will now have to cancel all remaining shows Treasure Island and The Great Christmas Sleigh Ride,” the letter reads.
The Playhouse is requesting that customers stay patient during this time, and are aware that they will be receiving many calls from customers about cancelled shows and ticket refunds.
Customers can either receive refunds for their cancelled tickets, donate their money to the Playhouse, or exchange for a credit voucher that they can use when the Playhouse reopens.
Mr Davies states in the letter that the Playhouse would be grateful for any donation. However, he understands that not everyone is in the position to donate their money – and refunds are available.
Mr Davies has expressed in his letter his gratefulness to Playhouse staff for their hard work this year. He thanked cast members and staff for being: “The brightest of lights in a dark and strange time.”
Mr Davies ended the letter with: “This isn’t goodbye; it’s a short interval to ensure Harlow Playhouse can come back bigger and stronger than ever!”
