AN AMBITIOUS Little Parndon Primary Academy student, Violet, has kept busy during the lockdown period writing a book, called ‘A Friendship Adventures’ – a humorous adventure story about two extra-terrestrials and a 15-year-old boy named Zack.

Violet was able to perfect her eight-chapter book and add three chapters by communicating with her teachers via email and getting feedback.

Violet’s teachers were so impressed with her story, that it was sent to children’s author, David Walliams, who sent Violet a letter of praise along with a signed photograph.

Mr Walliams wrote: “It’s very creative, well done!”

Violet has cited her mother and teacher Paige Wakelin, as being helpful and encouraging to her during the journey to write her adventure book.

Violet said: “Miss Wakelin and my mum have been a big part of this story and I am so grateful they took their time to help me when I needed it.”

Miss Wakelin took pride in her student’s achievement, stating that Violet had put much of her love and time into writing her book. Miss Wakelin said: “I’m so pleased it has received the recognition it deserves!”

Headteacher Mark Evans was among those that got to enjoy Violet’s story and said: “I look forward to reading many more of her books in the future.”
